No screen is needed for the Nextbase 300w as the inbuilt Wi-Fi allows you to easily transfer videos straight to a smartphone or tablet (Android 5.1 or up/iOs 10.3 or above). It uses the exclusive Drive Guard app to easily playback, edit and share footage of interest. Especially useful for sending to police or insurance companies or even if you are an observer during an incident, rather than a participant.
The 300W has a small and discreet cylindrical design profile, with an easy fit 3M adhesive mount for the vehicle’s front windscreen. It uses a rotating lens making it suitable for use in cars, lorries and trucks in many industries. The design of this discreet dashcam will adapt to all types of vehicles. The SD card and power cable slide into the side of the dash camera and there are several buttons on the driver facing portion of the housing. These are for power, event recording and wifi on / off toggle.
Power consumption is incredibly low with only the G Force sensor active, meaning the Dash Cam can use its internal battery to detect any knock or bump to your vehicle for longer a week. This is due to the Intelligent Parking Mode feature which is included with all Nextbase series 2 dashcams, offering added vehicle protection. As soon as the vehicle ignition is turned off the Nextbase 300w dash cam switches into the intelligent parking mode, switching everything off except for the g-sensor. If a bump is detected the camera will wake up and start recording.
